A beautifully communicated transition Terri. I love the clarity of your direction and plan to come along. I have been contemplating a bit of a rebrand myself, so this is very useful to watch how you're navigating it and communicating about your move. Curious about the migration off of Substack and why if you're willing to share.
Thanks, Rick. Why the move? As I said in this issue, I'm looking for the feel of being less of an editor/publisher of a "publication," and more of a friend sharing emails about what I'm exploring. There are a lot of folks who can write about solopreneurship, and I want to lean into my strengths and interests in design, strategy, and visual communication. Plus, I want to learn more about my community of readers and offer them specialized content based on their interests. And finally, I've seen what can happen on a rented platform (here's looking at you, Twitter), and would rather own my relationship with my reader community. I never intended my newsletter to be a paid option, so that's not an issue. These are my thoughts for now, and I understand everyone chooses what works for them. And I certainly have great friends (and great reads) here on SS.
I’m always riding with Terri, no matter where she goes or which platform she uses.
Co-pilots for life.
I feel the same, @Louie. 💯
Love this so much! 🚁 💛
Thanks, Alexandra. You know all about changes!
